Scholarship Criteria:

The scholarship was established to provide financial aid to students who need financial assistance and show academic promise and potential.

Candidates should meet all general scholarship criteria and criteria for superior academic performance and need-based awards listed above.

Purdy applicants should include a current resume.

Scholarship Name: McNair Program
Renewable: Yes (for a maximum of 2 years)
Program Eligibility: The student successfully participated in the McNair Scholars Program and are in good academic standing.

The FAFSA is now open! Be sure to download the myStudentAid app (Federal Student Aid) for ease in filing your FAFSA (available October 1st). Also, don’t forget to use the IRS data retrieval tool!

The 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form will be available to the public on or before Dec. 1, 2024 at http://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

6 Things You’ll Need to Fill Out the 2024-25 FAFSA® Form

The 2024–25 FAFSA® form is now available.

  • Username and Password (FSA ID) for student and spouse if applicable
  • Social Security Number
  • 2022 Income and Tax Records Information (Automatically transfer tax info with the Financial Aid Direct Data Exchange!)
  • Spouse/Contributor Income and Tax Records Information if applicable
    • UM School Code for FAFSA is 001004
